Repeat prescriptions may be requested by:
- Ringing 01384 - 465303, Prescription Ordering Direct [POD], a Dudley CCG initiative
- Online via 'Patient Access' (see 'Clinics & Services' - 'Online services' for details)
- Using the stub from your previous repeat prescription to mark the repeat medication required and drop this at the surgery
Nominated Pharmacy - Please discuss with your local pharmacy and arrange with them to have your prescriptions sent electronically to them. If you do not indicate a preference or you have not nominated a pharmacy to receive Electronic Prescriptions, the prescription will be available for collection from the Stourbridge surgery.
Please allow 48 hours for the doctor to check and sign your prescription, but do provide more time if possible, this excludes weekends and bank holidays.
Usually repeat prescriptions will be available within the 48 hour period, (but this cannot be guaranteed). Also note that this ONLY applies to repeat medications. Requests for one-off items you have received before ('ACUTE') require the doctor to examine the request and as such may NOT be available within the same timescale.
If you wish your prescription to be posted please provide a stamped addressed envelope. If you wish to use a chemist’s services, you must make these arrangements yourself with the chemist of your choice.
PLEASE do not over order medication: prescription requests that are received before the recommended due date will be rejected. The due date is 7 days before your medication is due to run out. If you need medication before this date due to holidays or other unforeseen circumstances please document this clearly on your request form.
We do not accept repeat prescription requests by telephone, please ring the POD if you prefer to ring and order your prescription.
